MSLearning

Are you a career changer or someone looking to gain some entry level or very general level of Microsoft certifications in a given area? The new MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate) is just for you!

This new cert level lies below the existing MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) and MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional). I personally see this move as a way to start moving in on some of the CompTIA certs like Net + and Security +. Microsoft now has equivalents of them. See which ones map to those HERE and here is a list of initial certs…

Initial titles

98-361:  Software Development Fundamentals

98-362:  Windows Development Fundamentals

98-363:  Web Development Fundamentals

98-364:  Database Administration Fundamentals

98-365:  Windows Server Administration Fundamentals

98-366:  Networking Fundamentals

98-367:  Security Fundamentals

This was all officially announced yesterday on MSL’s own blog page Born to learn
